History of Photography:
Students will be assigned a partner to work with on this project. The group will be assigned a topic from the history of photography to research. They will work together to learn about that topic and create a presentation in Google Slides that will share their knowledge with the class. The presentation must include:
You will be given some class time to work on the project and should be able to finish in class. However, if you're absent or off task you may need to finish the project on your own time.
To begin:
- An informative title
- An introduction slide with pictures (introducing the group members)
- Key dates, names, and places that relate to your topic
- All information written in your own words--fewer words are better.
- The historical significance of your topic
- 3+ visuals that help explain your topic (photographs, diagrams, videos, etc.)
- A sources slide which lists 3+ reliable sources used
- Equal effort from each partner in preparation and presentation
You will be given some class time to work on the project and should be able to finish in class. However, if you're absent or off task you may need to finish the project on your own time.
To begin:
- Introduce yourself to your partner
- One of you should go to your Google Drive and create a Folder called History of Photography Project
- Share that folder with your partner so you both have access
- Create a Doc within the folder for the purpose of taking notes and keeping track of your source sites
- Create a Slides presentation
- Begin researching, reading, and selecting visuals being sure you fully understand EVERYTHING you include.
- Use the rubric below as your guide
- Add essential info to your Slides
- Add a title and theme that is appropriate
- Add a sources slide and shrink the font of URLs until they fit nicely
- Rehearse how you'll divide the presentation
- Practice, practice, practice
- Share the presentation with Mrs. Cheney
- Hand in your link via google classroom
